Can smoking Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) produce any kind of brain damage?

Im not sure, but Ive spoken with psychyatrists/psychologists about the long term effects of DMT, and some of them said there was no damage, but others mentioned something called "serotonin syndrome" with chronic use. Not sure what that is, but it may be worth looking into if you are really interested in this kind of stuff (I am too).
