I just ran into a website that is slandering my name. What is my recourse?

As most of us do, I googled my name the other day and I found this web site that had some slandering and defaming statements about me. I was shocked. However, I don't know what recourse I have in the matter. I need to first find out who owns this website. Then I need to file some legal action to cease and desist whatever this guy is doing. Can you help me find a way to do these two things? Thanks.
