I am confused about my degree??

I am going to a community college to get a degree in criminal justice and after that I want to transfer my AAS degree to a university, but I realized that the profession I want to do is more geared toward a Forenecis degree. I want to be either a Detective or a Criminal investigator. I was told that a Criminal Justice degree is more broader than a Forensics degree, so what I want to do is major in Criminal ustice and minor in Forensics. Will that get me the results I am looking for, or should I change my degree?
